Segmentation allows you to deliver your messages to a specific target. Imagine you want to provide services to female executives and that one of these services is specifically for executives with children.
The first step is to populate the profile of your contacts with children with an attribute that distinguishes them from the others. This can be done by Retrieving contacts information, by Editing a contact's profile or by Automatically adding attributes to contacts.
Once your contacts profiles are populated, you can now segment your automations and/or broadcasts to address your specific target.
At the bottom of your Add Automation or Add Broadcast form, in the Contacts section, select Segment, then click on Add filter.
Type or select the specific attribute assigned to your target. Here we chose Baby, value Yes, to target female executives with babies.
Click on Save. Your broadcast or automation is now segmented.
